Mental Health

One in seven Australians will experience depression, and one quarter of the Australian population will experience an anxiety condition during their lifetime. For this reason, mental health is as important to us as physical health.

Our GP’s are experienced in managing mental health issues and are able to offer mental health care plans to support your mental well-being. Under a mental health care plan, our GP’s can also provide a referral to local psychologists for assessment and ongoing counselling services. Medicare provides funding under the mental health care plan to subsidise these visits to a psychologist.

As well as consulting with your regular GP, we can facilitate Tele-health conferences to Psychiatrists at the Gordon Clinic in Sydney.

These telehealth consults are carried out in the privacy of a consulting room within our practice; they provide an opportunity to discuss personal issues with a psychiatrist without having to travel to Sydney for your appointment.

We welcome anyone who wants to reach out, connect and seek help. Please contact us if you need assistance or advice.
